Hydrogeological Survey and Evaluation
Hydrogeological Survey and Assessment covers the detailed examination of groundwater potential, flow directions, recharge and discharge areas, water quality and interaction with geological structure in a region. These studies provide basic data for the research, protection, sustainable use and management of groundwater. In the light of on-site measurements, drilling data, geological-geophysical analyses and hydrogeochemical assessments, conceptual and, when necessary, numerical models of groundwater systems are created and the hydrogeological character of the region is revealed.
The determination of the hydrogeological characteristics of a region is of critical importance for many engineering and environmental applications. Hydrogeological information forms the basic infrastructure for processes such as determining the need for dewatering in mining areas , selecting suitable areas for groundwater supply , assessing the risks of contaminant transport , defining recharge and discharge areas and delimiting protection areas . In addition, these analyses, which are made on parameters such as water budget calculations, groundwater-level relations, hydraulic conductivity distribution, aquifer type and thickness, natural ground permeability, hydrodynamic structure , provide data for both conceptual evaluations and numerical modeling . In this way, both correct decisions are made in engineering designs and environmental impacts are predicted.

Hydrogeological Survey Studies on Basin Basin
Hydrogeological studies at the basin scale are based on the evaluation of surface and groundwater resources together with a holistic approach. The main purpose of these studies is to ensure the sustainable use of water resources and to provide scientific data support for long-term planning processes.
In this context, institutions are provided with technical infrastructure for the development of water management strategies at the basin scale and the creation of integrated plans.
MINEWELL has completed many successful projects under the following headings with its expert engineering staff and field experience in this field:
-
Groundwater Planning (Hydrogeological Survey)
-
River Basin Management Plan
-
Basin Sectoral Water Allocation Plan
-
Basin Flood Management Plan
-
Basin Master Plan
As MINEWELL, we aim to protect natural systems and manage the sectoral, environmental and economic dimensions of water in a balanced manner with our basin-level analyses.

Hydrogeological Assessment Studies
Hydrogeological Assessment studies are preliminary studies carried out to reveal the existing hydrogeological conditions of the project site and its immediate surroundings, usually in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) application files, project introduction files and similar preliminary permit processes. In this context, existing geology, hydrology, hydrogeology and meteorology data are compiled, evaluated and the first hydrogeological characterization specific to the site is carried out.
The studies are aimed at determining the groundwater potential at a general level , defining the existing water resources in terms of location and quality, and evaluating basic hydrogeological parameters such as water supply potential, pollution risk or protection requirements .
With the hydrosensus studies carried out in this process , water resources such as wells, springs, streams, ponds, etc. in the project area and the affected area are identified on-site, their locations are mapped, their current usage status is evaluated, and a basis is created for planning the detailed studies required for the field.
MINEWELL conducts these preliminary assessment studies with scientific precision that is literature-based, complies with legislation and meets project-specific needs.
